I still remember my first childhood drawing, when the pencil lines came alive under my hands. Back then, I drew a castle on a steep hill. The cobblestones, the castle gate with its portcullis, the battlements of the towers unfolded before my eyes with every pencil stroke. My budding fascination with castles and palaces grew through countless vacations in Austria in the years that followed. At the same time, my inner longing for artistic play was gently nurtured. Decades later, I opened my studio in a castle high above the Upper Austrian Kremstal, the region I call home. This is the fulfillment of a childhood dream. I’m happy and grateful to share it with all those who wish to dedicate their attention to the beauty, love of life, and vivid processes of art.
